We believe in the Fourfold Gospel of Jesus Christ. We proclaim Jesus as our:
Savior
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4.12
All people have sinned and have been separated from God because of sin. However, through the atoning death of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, salvation has been provided for all who repent and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Sanctifier
"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness." - 2 Peter 4.3
After Jesus’ death and Resurrection, He ascended into heaven to a throne at God’s right hand. However, He did not leave us as orphans, but He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us. All who believe in Jesus and ask for the Spirit to fill them, will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us power over sin and temptation, and power for holy living and effective service.
Healer
"The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up." - James 5.15
Just as Jesus healed many people during His earthly ministry, provision is made in His redemptive work for the healing of the mortal body even today. God can and does heal those who are ill and who seek healing through prayer. Jesus not only desires to heal us physically, but He also desires and is able to heal us spiritually and emotionally as well.
Coming King
"You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." - Mark 14.62
Just as Jesus came to earth once to pay the penalty for our sins, He will come again a second time to gather His people to their eternal home with Him in heaven. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.
Core Values
We value:
Scriptural Application: God intends for us to not only know His word, but to live it. The Bible is just as applicable today as it was when it was written. We value applying Scripture to our lives and making it the final authority over all we say and do. (Psalm 119.105; James 1.22; 2 Tim. 3.16-17)
Spiritual Formation: All disciples of Jesus should grow spiritually and learn how to best use their gifts. We are committed to helping disciples of Jesus grow in their faith and to discover and exercise their spiritual gifts. (Heb. 5.11-14; Eph. 4.11-16; 1 Cor. 12.28-31; 1 Peter 2.2; 2 Peter 3.18)
Prayer: God desires His people to pray. He hears and answers prayers. We are totally dependent on Him and prayer must precede all we do. (Matt. 7.7-11; 1 Thess. 5.17; James 5.13-18)
Outreach Focused: The primary purpose of the church is to reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ so that they might have a personal relationship with Jesus. Therefore, we value making friendships and connections with people outside of the church so that we might obey Christ's command to make disciples of all peoples. We also value service that is not only focused toward those in the church but toward those who have not yet known the love of Jesus. (Matt. 28.19-20; Mark 10.45; Luke 19.10; Gal. 5.13b-14)
Authenticity: God desires for us to have authentic, personal relationships with both Him and each other. We value honesty and integrity in relationships. Such transparent relationships with God and each other will foster growth both relationally and spiritually. (Eph. 1.17; Acts 2.42-47)
Acceptance: Jesus welcomed all people just as they were and so should we. Therefore, we will create an environment where all are free to come as they are, to ask questions, to express doubts and fears without being judged or condemned. We will emphasize God's unconditional acceptance and full forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Luke 18.15-17; Matthew 9.10-13; Rom. 6.23; Eph. 2.8-9)
